This service is funded by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and administered by your utility companies. The goal of the program is to help- you make your home in CT MORE energy efficient. This is a state and federally funded program offered to ANYONE that pays an electric or gas bill in the State of CT. We will be in your area at one of your neighbor's homes and we like to offer this service to the surrounding neighbors as well. For $75.00, you get:
- Blower door Test. We exaggerate the air leaks in the house.
- Air seal up up to 20% of the square feet of the home.
- Replacement of up to 14 compact flourescent lights.
- Low flow faucet aerators and shower heads.
- Testing on heating and HVAC systems to help ensure they are operating efficiently.
- Duct Blasting. We test the duct systems for leaks and seal them up.
- Audit of all appliances.
- Insulation rebates up to $1.00 per square foot. This can pay up for to 50% of the job.
- Rebates for new Energy Star appliances for up to $100.00.
- Kilowatt meter. This device allows you to see what plug-in electrical appliances are costing you per year.
- An expert will guide you to the most cost effective ways to save energy with the quickest rate of return.
